for the V1 display on DSI0 it isThanks 6by9 for the help!
I was methodical. I cannot tell you how many times I reviewed this thread before joining in.
Since I am using the V1, the dtoverlay lines are going to be different, obviously.
And I did find the same exact connectors on Amazon.
I wasn't clear about it, but I do agree that the cables you used in your photo are official.
Me and the sg666tri guy were clearly using the wrong cables.
I find it interesting that the "is it a display or a camera cable" question didn't trigger folks to ask "is it a pi5 or cm5 display cable".
Thanks again everyone, just waiting on Amazons delivery still.
Code:
dtoverlay=vc4-kms-dsi-7inch,dsi0
Pinout of the 22-pin CSI and DSI connector is 99% identical between CM3IO/CM4IO/CM5IO with CM5IO (and Pi5) having dropped one of the GPIOs routed to the connector. Hence any 22-pin to 15-pin DISPLAY (DSI) cable will work (I've tested waveshare and oratek FPCs on CM3IO/CM4IO when I owned a V1 display).
Can't run any tests myself as I don't own a CM5 but would also check if adding "disable_poe_fan=1" and "force_eeprom_read=0" in config.txt makes a difference.
