Automation, sensing and robotics • Re: Trying to decide which RPI to use for a robotics club

Just curious, if anyone knows, if incorporating LEGO robotics with RPI is a good idea for a high school level. Or should I go with regular robotics parts and buy them in bulk?
I think LEGO is nice but tends to be expensive.

As for choosing between a Pi 4 and 5, the post

viewtopic.php?p=2225686#p2225686

suggests some physical computing projects don't work well with the Pi 5 due to newness and differences in GPIO. A this point a Pi 4 is less frustrating.

Since the Pico is so cheap, one could get some of those to experiment with. In my opinion the Pico is especially useful for beginners who might break something.
