I'm modelling and printing my own panel to house everything with in the case so the drilled holes will be just for rivets or bolts holding it in placeOnce you've figured those out (and I'd wait a bit first) you could add more, although where would you put them? Punching more holes in the case is going to look ugly.
It does look a little daunting but I will have a good look to under stand it as much as possibleIn the meantime take a look at QMK. It would allow you to build a custom USB keyboard with rotary encoders too. It's interesting to read about, but a bit daunting at first.
