Pi Imager 1.8.4 selects Raspberry Pi OS (Legacy, 32-bit) Bullseye with desktop.
I would select Raspberry Pi OS (other) and choose Raspberry Pi OS (Legacy, 32-bit) Lite (no desktop) for speed of install.
Anyway, write that to the microSD card, with Imager settings for Wifi, user, password, enable SSH password etc. and do not make any other changes/edit any files. Put the Pi Zero W near to WiFI router, and use an officla power supply if you have one. Boot the Pi Zero W with that card, and wait 20 minutes. Then find the Pi ip address and login via SSH (PuTTY).
