Thanks for the reply, I am sorry, being new to the board, I should have enclosed the code with the proper tag.

As for the issue, I have read the documentation on the dvr8825, and all points to a vref to be around .7v. Increasing over .7 makes the motor hum.

Does anybody have experience with a pi 5, DVR8825, and NEMA 17, or suggestions that could help correct the low torque issue?
