All I did was create a new project from the blink example for the Pico target using the pico plug-in for Visual Code Studio. I then delete the build directory and the project will not build because it can’t find the ninja file I described on my post.
Removing the build directory on Windows is not the answer (for me at least). This is very easy to reproduce on my install.
If this is supposed to work, I can try uninstalling and reinstalling but it sure seems that this Ninja system is a change from 1.5 to 2.1 that makes the build environment behave differently.
