Thanks for the replies. Tried the suggestions. Still not working. In my n00b attempts I tried
sudo iwlist wlan0 scan
I got an error stating doesn't support scanning. I suppose thats the reason it cant find any wifi signals.
So what could have gotten messed up with this update? Any ideas would be great. Really don't want to have to build up from scratch again.
