It doesn't really need much speed - displaying sound level meters moving up and down and then moving a fader up or down sort of thing - 100s of bps at mostWell, bad news. I've observed that for file transfers it is perfectly fine and fast. But seems to suffer from some kind of issue with moonlight where it isn't able to keep up unless I significantly lower the bitrate of the stream for some reason. The Pi 5's wifi was actually more consistent and reliable when it came to moonlight although slower in traditional transfer speeds. That is what we use at the moment. But adding 6GHz would give us another option. I'd always thought it would be too short range but sounds like you're not doing too badly. It's usually used by the sound engineer who walks around adjusting sound levels on his tablet so would depend on 6GHz tablets becoming available of course.
I'd recommend using 2.4GHz or 5GHz in that situation. I'm only using 6GHz for this Pi to free up 5GHz entirely for my home lab server on the 2nd floor. I've gotten much better signal strength etc with 2.4 and 5. It really does feel like 6GHz is best for same room or in a room close by.
