An HP T620 Thin Client with 8GB memory, 128GB SSD, AMD GX-415GA quad-core SOC @1.5GHz, on which I installed Debian 12 Bookworm 64-bit.
Using the same gcc_compile script as before to compile c, c++, and fortran from gcc 10.2.0.
Result: 3 hours, 42 minutes, or exactly in the neighborhood of my pi4 8GB running off a Kingston SSD.
I get the point of those people who mined ebay for similar machines during the Great Pi Shortage (thankfully past). That's a lot of machine - with case, power, and storage all included for $35. I couldn't resist.
