Still a bit baffled, how close is the tag, do you need multiple tags or just one, are you looking at just a unique ID or data stored on the tag and once the tag is read then what? The second link gave is a working example of reading tags but maybe a commercial kit is easier? Many suppliers world wide produce kits - a U.K. based supplier has these

are two examples of kits that are made. Key thing is to make sure any tags are a match for the reader but TBH I have zero idea if these are suitable for your use case as you have not really explained what they are to do with it...
