I use specialist paper that has a lower range 4-9Litmus doesn't tell you the pH, it just tells you if it is Acid or not, or a Base or not, depending on the type you use. (or both if neutral litmus, you can get a not so accurate or easy to tell pH range if you can see slight changes in colour).
PWM moisture sensors for soil seem a lot better.

PH sensors are not
Not even pens
We are aiming for 5.5 to 6.2 for 75% of plants and more like 90% of what we actually grow actively which is a pretty wide range
PH is exponential so that range is a lot higher than you might think
