If you want known quality, search for something like https://www.amazon.co.uk/RS-25-5-Supply ... B085L4Y8ZV (Meanwell supplies are available from lots of suppliers worldwide, and do lots of variations on the theme of 12V d.c. in, 5V out - usually with the supplies isolated from each other).
Connect the 5V output to the pin header on the Pi, or buy yourself a USB breakout or decent USB lead.
Then do the change to config.txt mentioned above to tell the Pi that you have a 5A PSU, but its not USB PD.
