Graphics, sound and multimedia • Re: Auto Video Looper /w GPIO control

1. Use OSC over wifi. You can send input events from one Pi to the other
2 Never had invalid chunk size
Hey Ken, so I finally got a chance to setup the OSC setup over WiFi. However, I seem to be hitting a minor snag. Maybe you could give some advice?

I used Profile “PP_Osc_1p5” as a base profile to build off of. I was able to set each Pi (Master/Slave) with each of their own Static ip Addresses which seems to work thus far as I’m seeing “Message Received/replies” along with their respective IP Addresses, across the terminal windows for each respective Pi.

I Also setup the GPIO mapping within the GPIO config file which works pretty good on the MASTER Pi. The weird part is that the GPIO inputs switch through videos perfectly on the Master Pi, However on the Slave Pi terminal window I am definitely seeing “received messages that correlate to when I’m triggering the assigned GPIO pins on the Master-Pi. But no matter what the display window/video on the Slave-Pi stays black (with yellow outline) and I notice that the Slave-Pi terminal window keeps displaying “Show already running so ignoring command: myshow”

It seems like I’m like 95% there with functionality but this slight hiccup has me scratching my head.

Side note:

If it means anything.. essentially the functionality that I’m after is a “RadioButtonShow” with GPIO Triggering using OSC WiFi. Initially I did try setting up a “radiobuttonshow” and manually adding an OSC Config file to the show via the editor. But for some reason even after adding the OSC config file, the profile showed no signs of any type of Communication initialization within the terminal window, which was sort of odd.
