Troubleshooting • Rotated HDMI image output, but with double cursors on VNC (but not on RD)

Greetings,

Latest version of OS, I have a touchscreen display connected to HDMI-0.

I used Preferences | Screen configuration to change first INVERT the orientation of 'HDMI-A-1' . Then I had to click on Touchscreen in the same config menu to select 'HID 27c0:0818'. That worked ok for the display connected to HDMI-0, with the following caveats:

1- When booting, the splash screen remains upside down along with the occasional scrolling text during boot.

2- When looging on via VNC, I see TWO cursors. There is a little white square, filled with black, that moves in the same direction as the mouse. The other, arrow-like cursor moves in the exact reverse direction! It is the arrow-like cursor that I need to position onto the target to click.

3- and oddly, when I log on with Win Remote Desktop, the mouse moves correctly. Note that the display identification then is 'rdp0'.

My questions:

1- is there a way to get the HDMI-0 output to invert from the getgo, so splash-screen and install scrolls show right-side up?

2- In VNC, how do I get the arrow cursor to track my mouse properly, and get rid of the ghosting square cursor?
