Routing a dual dram PCB would not be fun but doable.
6-8 layer PCB buried vias etc, not a cheap PCB but the Pix00are not the low cost Pi's.
A stacked Dram package would make it easier.
I was more thinking about the number of address lines available.
Can the BCM2712 address that much memory?
I can see next gen BCM27xx having/needing a few more address lines.
Perhaps widen the data bus from 32bit to 64bit and use two DRAM?
That doubles the memory MB/s speed?
A Pi500 with 16GB DRAM and 64bit data bus would be Pi600?
But we will get what they give us, not what we wish for.
It makes sense for there to be a Pi500 but thermals are going to be an issue?
Will there need to be a fan in the case or can it be done with the big heatsink?
It has been 6 months since the Pi5 came out.
Enough time for a prototype Pi500's to be in test, along with new LCDs?
Pi500 or CM5, which will be first?
For business users CM5 need to get out to developers if there are any big changes.
For networked client users, Pi500 in black?
Most of us hackers, er hobbyists probably already have our first Pi5 now.
It looks like the backlog is over as they seem to be in stock.
How many sold 1-2 Million?
