Why don't you just use a PWM block for that?

But I need a control on the no of steps and the step delay pulse to be exact at 2.5uS so I need a periodic timer to just generate a one pulse on every timer interrupt.

So I want to create a simple PIO non blocking which takes a single data from FIFO and just toggles the step pin for once.

And how do I set the PIO frequency give an output of exact frequency??
