Camera board • CSI HDMI extender

These are just using HDMI cable as a carrier right?

There's no magic going on just remapping pins and sending it through a shielded cable and then breaking it back out to CSI at the other end

I don't need to worry about camera compatibility they are just routing the signal

Or have I got this all wrong?
