Added drm.edid_firmware=HDMI-A-1:rubbish.bin video=HDMI-A-1:D and to the end cmdline.txt and I tried adding lines to the very beginning.I'll try this now...o.k. But there is no difference, you connect it separately to an external power source or usb Raspberry, or you don't connect it anywhere at all - there is no difference!
Are you forcing a resolution or do you rely on the EDID data provided? Would be worth checking if a fake EDID solves that issue.
