I know he's active. But there is no difference, you connect it separately to an external power source or usb Raspberry, or you don't connect it anywhere at all - there is no difference!
o.k. You say that in case of powering the adapter from another source, then starting your Pi will result in the distored image?

Are you forcing a resolution or do you rely on the EDID data provided? Would be worth checking if a fake EDID solves that issue.

There is an EDID for FHD+Audio here viewtopic.php?p=2155762&hilit=Hdmi+audio#p2153560 as well as a description what to do.
You can try that at no risk.
I'll try this now...
I did all these steps exactly according to the instructions. Added drm.edid_firmware=HDMI-A-1:rubbish.bin video=HDMI-A-1:D and to the end cmdline.txt and I tried adding lines to the very beginning.
