just for everybody running into the same problem... i got it to work on ubuntu 24.10. it did not work right out of the box, though. after installation of quite a few packages i had to reinstall pyside6 to get it to work.

I am having the same problem can you guide me what are those packages and how to resolve this issue i am stuck at this point:
No QtMultimedia backends found. Only QMediaDevices, QAudioDevice, QSoundEffect, QAudioSink, and QAudioSource are available.
Failed to initialize QMediaPlayer "Not available"
