Troubleshooting • Re: Problem with GPS USB Device

The GPS has a USB port, so I am using the cable that came with it.

I'm starting to think it is just bad luck. Every time I want to use it, it is quite cloudy out. It has a magnet on it so I'll stick it to the roof of my truck and drive around tomorrow (sunny day, no clouds). See if that makes a difference.

Clouds are not a problem, being deep in a building or dense forest might.

Do you have anything else attached, are you using the USB2 ports, (of not do).

I tend to go for uBlox based GNSS devices, 8m are cheap and pretty good, replacing the old 6m GPS only GNSS devices. There are newer ones now.
Look at what Adafruit etc build their HATS with too.

Any links to what you have?
