You could post the make and model of the unsupported printers, in case someone has an insight.
Elegoo Saturn 2
You could also pay someone to implement support in Octoprint. Everyone benefits.
I don't think he's opposed to that option, but a little bit of research I've done so far indicates that that is not currently viable option for a number of factors on this particular model (chiefly that this one does not appear to support USB control). Possible? Perhaps. Worth the time and effort from someone else, and then the cost to us? Probably not.
You could install a wifi-enabled SD card into the specific printers.
I tried looking into that and so did he and another mutual friend, we were not able to find any viable options. I found the option using a Raspberry Pi Zero W, and that is probably the next step if there's not a way to make it work off of the Raspberry Pi 5 that he already has. If you know of any viable options, I'm open to hearing them.
You could buy a Pi for each printer and have it behave as a USB drive (choose the cheapest one that supports this feature). You can probably only have one USB gadget per Pi, but they are not expensive.
Yeah that's probably the next option using a Zero W for each printer.
You could google to see if anyone else has done something similar.
Yeah, been doing that off and on for a few days, no dice.
My invoice is on its way to you now.
I'm sure I'll get right on it, thanks for your help.
