Gaming • Retropie as app question.

Hey everybody, i just had to rebuild my system due to a failed update. I had been using raspberrypios with x11 instead of Wayland because it was the only way to use retropie as an app in rpiOS. Unfortunately this newest version on the OS has some bad screen tearing with video playback using x11. Not seen in my not updated system.

So my question is,before i go about installing retropie as an app again, has the new Wayland setup that ditched wayfire allowed for retropie to run under Wayland, or is it still an issue?
