I'm not sure which version of touchscreen it is.
Here are photos of every piece of possibly identifying writing if that helps

Presumably dtoverlay=piscreen,drm needs to go in config.txt?
It did actually do something different... ie: shows splash screen with logo, then goes to a black screen with a thin line and a couple of flashing cursors.
I'll try again with a completely clean install.
