Well... I use my Pi for everything at home, and including Samba as "little NAS", 24/7.
I already had that SATA 850 Evo 512 GB and enclosure lying down in wardrobe, so I decided to migrate my Pi completely to it (coming from Micro SD card). This was a REAL gamechanger for me, I REALLY feel the difference between Micro SD (very high class Micro SD btw) and this SATA SSD.
And the 2 TB M.2 drive... I'd buy it anyway along with the enclosure as I needed it for backups. So why not plug it into Pi when not in use and add to SMB? I also plan using it for automated backups and such stuff, so... I also know M.2 NVMe (and here PCIe 4.0) drive is a total overkill for Pi, but... looking at shops, 2 TB 2.5" HDDs and SSDs were just as expensive. I got this M.2 for $100, I feel like it's quite a good price.
Anyway, thank you a lot for help. I will get a powered USB hub and let know how it goes.
