Try to check your keyboard layout.
I thought about that when the problem fist occurred (when checking Caps Lock). But it's the same keyboard I've been using all the time. No changes. And, as mentioned, it worked with the clone (with the same password).
So it's hard to believe that the keyboard is the reason - unless something, without my knowledge, has happened/changed with the layout settings, or something, which I after all don't find very likely.
At the same time, I have also learned to never take anything for granted...
But, for now, as long I don't miss something, if I'm going to stick to what seems most reasonable and from that perspective the keyboard doesn't seem to fit in.

I could also add that it's not the first time that I've hade some problems to log in. I always thought it was because I was too careless when entering the password - I use the kind of keyboard technique where you use all your fingers according to a certain fingering pattern and keep your eyes on the screen, and I have a tendency to sometimes rush a bit.
But when I think back on these occasions, I also remember that even then I found it rather strange, that sometimes, when I very slowly keyed in the code, looking at each key, I still did not succeed despite several attempts - and then, doing the exact same routine, as far as I could see, suddenly, I succeeded - and so, glad to have been logged in, I dismissed the whole thing… I mean, that's what I've been telling myself, somehow, I still must have missed a keystroke or two, it just can't be the computer, or the keyboard that's wrong...
But now, I'm not so sure about that any more...
