I've come across NVMe drives that don't appear to have a partition table and thus give rise to issues eg. Gnome gdisk reports them as having unknown contents and, of course, not mounted. FWIW see my notes/screenshots/examples here: https://www.cpmspectrepi.uk/raspberry_p ... (2e)2.htmlI recently purchased a new, official Raspberry Pi m.2 HAT with an nvme 256GB ssd drive kit. The system does not recognize it.
Does anyone have any suggestions to resolve or should I just give up and try and exchange my kit for a working kit?
I found this link for someone who had a bad hard drive and wonder if I have the same issue.

Below is a link to the output of raspinfo as noted in the above link.

I do see a link the following line:
[ 0.694606] brcm-pcie 1000110000.pcie: link down
Troubleshooting steps taken:
I have checked the cable seating. Attached is a photo of the hat and cable which "should" be installed correctly.m.2hat_setup.jpg
I have followed the setup / install steps here: https://www.raspberrypi.com/documentati ... stallation
Unfortunately the system will not find it or recognize it.
I tried using the following commands to find it and they all returned nothing:
sudo nvme --list
ls /dev/nv*
sudo lspci -vvv | grep -E 'nvme|LnkSta'
sudo lsblk
Trev.
