@gmx, it's a _very_ loose definition of 'confirmation' -- your pix shows the logo better and so I have a datasheet to keep for ref. But who knows what silicon is really inside, it's easy enough to laser mark them... perhaps I should even be suspicious that the flash on my board has poorer quality markings. I won't be surprised given arg001's story. So it's just a "best effort" exercise to identify some components. :)

Anyway, the two PIco W I ordered has arrived and they look genuine enough (they were in a non static plastic bag though, sloppy), good-looking PCB, components, silkscreen looks legit, QR code, etc. Nothing looks amiss. So they just might turn out to be boring authentic RPi Pico Ws and there won't be any fun anomalies to report. I'll try one out all the same but I don't expect much to happen. That's all from me for now.
