I must be living in a different reality if 720x1280 is a "disappointingly low screen resolution" and the $60 price too high. I can't comment on the "ginormous bezels" having not seen one in the flesh but they seemed reasonable to me in photos I've seen.
I checked my 24" monitor and it claims to be running 1360 x 768 and that looks fine to me. I can't imagine being disappointed with not much less than that on a 7" display.
