I was already suspecting I was searching in a dead end, and you have only confirmed. Yet the use of mysql.connector is widely recommended, in many www places. Is it completely outdated, then?
Very generally: what python3 tool or library would you commend for connecting from a python3 script on a Bookworm 12 Raspi to a mysql/mariadb database on a debian "server"? If you can point me to a reliable and up to date source on the www, that will be quite sufficient, no need to exhaust yourself in an elaborate "howto"![Smile :)]()
