Beginners • Can i use my Rpi with an hdmi adapter?

Hello guys, i bought a raspberry pi 2b with an faulty hdmi port, so i cant connect it to my monitor.so ive been using it headless, im tired using it like that so im trying to make a solution. Would it work if i bought a USB-HDMI adapter like this?

If it'll work, what features do adapter need?

I have tried replacing the hdmi connector but it did not work.
