That is an absurdly useless marking. It might be max power draw, I doubt it is average. However it could be some poorly worded claim that it it expects 3.3V supply that is current limited to 2A.According to the markings the power use is 2A at 3.3V or, in other words, 6.6 watts. From what I recall the FFC PCIe connector on the Pi 5 can only provide 5W of power.BTW: i like the M2230 formfactor very much! Reminds me on the fullsize SD-Format (24x32 mm), used in the very first Raspbery Pi generation.
Does a compatible m.2 adapter need to get more power from the GPIO header?
