That is why I tried to patch the kernel from 6by9's branch.wired network will require RP1 drivers, which are missing last i heard
To be honest I have no idea. I didn't attach any output device. I don't even know if video output or UART is working. I just see no LED activity and nothing hitting the DHCP server.Pi5 can directly load the Linux kernel, I would not use u-boot. But if you do, what messages are there? And what bootmeth for example?
And is that u-boot build able to operate a Pi5 good enough, why should it if kernel and UEFI can't?
I think Fedora uses u-boot for all their aarch64 images. It is the standard there.
Fedora kernel it pretty close to mainline, although they do add some minor patches, it is good enough for me.I would also not use/compile Fedora kernel but sources directly from kernel.org. And 'add support for pi5' in .config, that should be it. Otherwise it is no real mainline.
Fedora doesn't support ti Pi 5 because of upstream kernel doesn't do it properly yet.
I'm really disappointed in Raspberry Pi. They should upstream their stuff faster instead of happily living on their downstream ecosystem.
