Interfacing (DSI, CSI, I2C, etc.) • Reset switch

OK, this is not strictly an interfacing question, but it didn't seem to sit properly in any of the other categories either.

As I am doing low-level stuff sans linux, through the circle project, and using a bootloader via a debug probe to save wear and tear on the SD card, I find that I often want to reset the Pi.

Now, I don't want to repeatedly power-cycle it more than is necessary - I was told many (many) years ago that it puts a lot of stress on stuff when you do that...

Having searched my memory and the web, I know some models have a "run" connector which can be used for this, but is there an equivalent across all boards?

I have boards of each type (except the new 2GB Pi5, and compute modules), so obviously it will vary from board to board.

Before anyone points it out, I know that just resetting/power-cycling a system running linux is just asking for trouble (anyone else used UNIX v7?), but this isn't that situation. Once the '.img' file is loaded, the SD card isn't used, and the system is actually running a boot-loader to get my stuff up and running. Allegedly there is a way to restart this process using only software, but I'm blowed if I can make it work, so this is the next best option.

I also appreciate that some solutions may require soldering connectors/wires onto the boards, and I am comfortable doing that under the right circumstances Image may be NSFW.
Clik here to view.
:)
I just need a couple of days notice so that I rest my eyes beforehand and try to keep my hands steady....
