Thanks for the reply. I can not find the actual comment but I have looked through so many posts on this subject. The main change as I see is that the GPIO pins have moved to gpiochip4 on RPi5. I that case I assume (from your comment) that libgpiod v1.6.3 will work by changing the chip name. Testing will confirm.
