Thanks for clarifying that.Old way for changing "brightness" for example was to put it directly into motion.conf, like this:
brightness=80
New way, since version 4.1 as I remeber it's like this:
video_params brightness=80
All options go after "video_params" separated by , (comma).
I did look at how to change some of those parameters, mostly the saturation as my "NoIR" camera tended to record with a pink tone and I wanted to change it to monochrome. I couldn't get that to work with Motion, but eventually found that I could set an environment variable to tell libcamerify to use the NoIR tuning file which fixed the colour.
Other than things like that, I believe libcamerify is just supposed to convert the v4l2 requests from motion to libcamera ones. It doesn't take any parameters of its own.
Hopefully one of the libcamera experts will help out.
