Troubleshooting • Re: Rescuing a broken installation - Deleted 'libc.so.6'

Thanks for the suggestion but I think I'm out of luck. I've lost all remote connections but can see a desktop with a monitor attached. Unfortunately clicking anything either does nothing, produces an hourglass and then does nothing. It won't even open file manager or a terminal session. I can access 'Run...' in the menu but it ignores whatever I try.

But it is showing me multiple RPI-RP2 drives for a Pico which isn't actually connected and they seem to be active file managers.

I can navigate to the backup file, but any attempt to rename it gives a permission error. Presumable because it's owned by 'root' and I'm logged in as 'pi'. Unless there's a magic trick to acquiring 'sudo' elevation that's a dead end.

I'll leave it as a file server in case there are files I have forgotten to copy to my Pi 4B until I can find an SD Card writer. As soon as I reboot without it fixed I am sure it will be a whole lot unusable and less useful than now.
