So since I see many questions about older Pi and using Connect desktop, not terminal (and I needed to write a new OS anyway)
I thought I'd see how it fairs and give everyone else an idea of where it sits memory wise.
It's not too bad, memory looks usable with plenty to 1GB, it may be a push on a PiZero2 though with its 512MB
About a 1/3 of the RAM used up as a minimum.
Current Pi Imager image today, incl setup WiFi, SSH access.
Booted
- via ssh
installed Connect, signed up, checked terminal connection worked via connect site.
Switched to labwc in raspi-config
rebooted (no need for ssh now)
Waited for it to pop up as screen sharing on connect site.
Joined.
Job done.
