Troubleshooting • Raspberry Pi Hardware Repairs

Hi,

I have been in the process of upgrading my in car entertainment system from a Pi3 to a Pi4.
The Raspberry Pi 4 was working fine on the bench. I have had a PiMoroni PHAT DAC connected (can't recall if I tested the DAC but it used to work fine on my Pi3).
I then transferred everything to my car and attempted to plug it into a 7" Touch Screen using a DSI cable. Power is provided by a Mausberry 3A Car PSU https://www.mausberrycircuits.com/colle ... y-switch-1.

I did not start the car, only turned the ignition on to get power to the PSU.
I could not get a display on the screen and thought maybe I have the cable the wrong way around, so swapped it around and retried a couple of times. I pulled the power on the pi a few times.

Thinking that the PSU may be bad, I then put the Pi 3 back in the car and managed to get it to boot and display on the screen first time.

I then tested the Pi4 back on the bench and all I am getting is a red LED, not green activity light.
Tried a different SD card - no joy.
Tried flashing an SD card with the latest Bootloader and put it in the Pi and powered on, still only a red LED.

According to searching the web, this means the Pi is dead, however, I would like to think there is a way of repairing it? Is there anywhere in the UK that repairs Pis?

Nothing appears burnt.
