Please don't post LLM spew on the forums. It's annoying to have to read through paragraphs of vague cruft that's almost guaranteed to be wrong.
In a terminal run dmesg --follow then invoke calc - if the OOM killer activates it'll tell you what it got rid of. If it makes an incorrect guess (e.g. kills the desktop instead) then that would look like a freeze.
