There are, in our area, no maker events or anywhere else the public might see a slice of Pi. The nearest events are 2 hours away. Evening events are followed by only random public transport. Not good.
There is one Code club but it is closed to the public because there are children in the club.
I talked with our libraries about running Pi based events and they declined without a reason. They have clubs for knitting and gardening and Windows and book reading and Android and other things but our local library community area is empty most days. Turning down a free educational event seems strange.
To me, the biggest sellers to new users would be the Pi 400 and my Pi 4 mounted with a breadboard.
A Pi 400 + official mouse + official white power block + official HDMI cable would attract a lot of people. Most venues have TV screens. For larger groups, you would need an official HDMI cable about 3 metres. You could use an adaptor but they spoil the image. Maybe the 1 m cable with a HDMI extension.
For tinkerers, my Pi 4 on a clear plastic sheet with a breadboard and some LEDs is a drawcard. + Official Power + official HDMI.
A Pi 5 sounds good. I do not know what demo would show off a Pi 5 as most stuff works on a Pi 4.
