Certification takes a while, and all our stuff gets certified. We are making efforts to reduce the time (and cost) of this but it's always a load of work, especially if products fail and need to be redesigned.There are other things to consider. Availability being one. For example, third party NVMe SSD adapters were available long before the official one.
