Beginners • Re: Multiple devices to the same ADC Input

I'd like to have multiple analog devices being read by the same ADC Input. I imagined it would work as follows:

For each device, set the VCC of the device to a selected GPIO on the pico, Device ground to ground, Device signal to a bus that connects back to ADC0. All of the signal pins from the devices would map back to the ADC Bus.

To get a reading, set the appropriate GPIO to High, then get the reading from ADC0. Repeat for each device.

The result is that the ADC reading seems to be (approximately) divided by the number of devices i have connected to the ADC Bus.

Clearly i've got something wrong; how would this be done correctly?
It depends on the nature of the analogue device, but to Do It Right™ you should probably use an analogue multiplexer.
