I'm going to own a morceau de tarte.
But will you ? I'm not sure what the UK process is for an over-subscribed IPO which this is reported to be. Approaches to that seems to be increase the number of shares, reduce the number allocated, or run some kind of a lottery to see who gets what.

Its pretty much guaranteed that each retail investor gets at least the minimum lot (which is £250). If it is massively oversubscribed so that this can't happen then its a random draw as to who gets the minimum lot, I doubt that this will happen but that is guesswork.

Commercial buyers are scaled down to match the commercial allotments.

I can't remember how the allotments are shared up and I'm not reading all that bumph again. I know full well I'll kick myself but I'm out, I don't want to deal with H&L. I'm still not sure if you end up a beneficiary holder rather a real share holder, this is important if you have plans to move the shares away from H&L because you might not hold actual shares.
