I have a similar question:
I am wanting to put together a portable "photo booth in a box"
(similar to the one shown in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=PXmx4DnMybM )
which runs off of something called "pibooth"
Looking at the pibooth page, the requirements listed are:
Raspberry Pi OS Buster with desktop
Python 3.7.3
libsdl2 2.0
libgphoto2 2.5.27
libcups 2.2.10 (which I won't be using, as I won't be printing the photos myself)
I bought a new Raspberry Pi 4B and have the latest Raspberry Pi OS ("Bookworm"?), but I worry that maybe the pibooth software...
(and two other software libraries I need to use for the project, the Adafruit neopixel SPI library to run a AdaFruit 24-LED ring, and the afore-mentioned-video guys custom neopixel plugin to connect the AdaFruit LED ring to the PiBooth functions)
... won't work or work 100% with the latest Raspberry Pi OS.
Like maybe, certain libraries were dropped since Buster, or updated in such a way that pibooth will no longer function.
I feel like since I know that the project could be made with Buster, that maybe that is what I should go with (although it does feel weird to be installer a 2-generations-ago OS)
Any ideas?
