Hey Cognoscenti!
Having become the proud owner of a WD Blue 1TB SSD I set about making it the boot drive for my Pi 5.
The Pi 5 ran fine with Raspberry Pi OS Bookworm on an SD card and with Bookworm on a WD Blue 250GB SSD.
1TB SSD formatted as a boot up using Bookworm with Raspberry Pi Imager.
Did not work - screen gave warning about ALERT! PARTUUID=fb33757d02 does not exist and the cursor ended up with the line (initramfs)
The same happened with the desktop and the server versions of 64bit Pi OS
No change with adding power to the SSD or using a cable that was already working with other SSDs.
Finally gave up after several reformats. Plugged it into a Pi 4 to reformat it a final time and it booted up the Pi 4 successfully.
Any thoughts please?
Thank you in advance for your help.
