Because other devices may support 5Ghz, where as the Pi Zero doesn't. That why I suggested it.Well, yes, it is Xfinity-supplied router. Not sure how that could be a problem since other non-RPi devices seem to find the network without any problem.
I'd already turned off the 5GHz - no change, still no listing.
I've now created a 'legacy' uSD card (bullseye) hoping to have greater success. So far no go; will try rebooting the router (which for some unknown reason takes a ridiculous time).
Thanks for the thoughts!
If it was working before and now it isn't; So, something must've changed. Hence.... something about the new router could be the cause.
Is this the one?
https://www.xfinity.com/learn/internet- ... nd-routers
I note that it says...
"Three WiFi bands for boosting capacity — 2.4GHz, 5GHz, and a new 6GHz band"
Though it says...
"Backwards compatible with non-WiFi 6E, WiFi 6, and WiFi 5-enabled devices or clients"
But it might be worth trying disabling the 5 and 6 Ghz anyway. See if that helps. It certainly wouldn't be the first time that I've seen products that claim backwards compatibility that weren't.
