Troubleshooting • Re: [Solved] Zero2W stalls on upgrade - bookworm

This 'stalling' does not only appear on the pi0W2, but on the Pi3A as well. The early days of Bookworm were fine, as there were fewer updates from the repos. However in the last 14-21 days I have noticed a significant issue with stalling when unpacking one particular update libllvm14:armhf. It neccessitated a shutdown and rewrite of the OS and starting again. I see there are similar reports about this particular package on the ubuntu forum too.

I have been building a certain software bundle that by shell script calls apt-get update then apt-get update. (I read that apt-get works better than apt when using shell.) However during the upgrade phase, this libllvm14 just stalls any progress. Access can still be gained by another terminal, but reading the apt logs I can see that there is no further progress. Rebooting and re-running the script would serve no purpose as already some parameters have been changed due to my script, so I have no alternative to recommence from scratch.
