Python • Re: Looking for python code for 433 MHz reciever

I'm sure there is some horribly written software out there for these modules, but not all of it can be horribly bad. Meaning, you probably already ran into the simpler versions of that code out there and could not understand it.

Which leaves practicing and becoming a more knowledgeable and proficient programmer, so you can understand that simpler code.

Am I right to assume that is something you are not willing to do? Because if I am right,.I have bad news. Leaning and getting better at it sometimes is really the only option (other than someone else doing it for you either for free or for a charge).
No you are not right in assuming like that. I have two books about python and Raspberry which I have started to reads. The examples I have seen is both transmit and recieve where the transmitter send codes which the reciever interprets.
I am looking for something like a readchar() function
OK, so this is a bit different from how I interpreted your original post. I don't have those books, can you tell me which ones they are? Some of the Pi books are available online (if they are the ones published by the makers of the Pi anyway) and I can try to take a look and see what they have there.
