By default you should find the Pi will prioritise the LAN connection over Wi-Fi and IIRC you can check this using the routel command in Bookworm (sorry no Pi with BW here at the mo - it maybe just route):
Check the entries for the default and your subnet (192.168.86.0/24) and you will see the adapter being used.
